Corporate Counsel
A reputable logistics company is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements including vendor, customer, technology, and service contracts.
- Labor & Employment: Advise on employment law matters including hiring practices, employee relations, terminations, and compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Real Estate Transactions: Support real estate activities including leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and property management agreements.
- Litigation Management: Oversee and coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and dispute resolution matters; manage internal investigations and pre-litigation strategies.
- Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance matters including board resolutions, entity management, and regulatory compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR, Operations, Finance, and other departments to support business initiatives and ensure legal compliance.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 4+ years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law, employment law, and real estate transactions.
- Experience managing litigation and working with external counsel.
