About the Role
The Compliance Business Manager will act as a strategic partner and operational leader, helping drive the firm's most critical initiatives. You will work closely with the CCO to streamline internal operations, enhance client delivery, and scale the firm's compliance consulting model while preserving its boutique, detail‑oriented approach.
This role is intentionally designed as a pathway toward future senior operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
Partner with the CCO and senior leadership to define and track strategic goals tied to client delivery and operational efficiency.
Translate firm priorities into structured initiatives with clear timelines and measurable outcomes.
Monitor progress, anticipate challenges, and drive adjustments as needed.
Operational Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead operational initiatives that support growth and scalability across a private fund compliance consulting model.
Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements across workflows (e.g., regulatory filings, policy updates, annual deliverables, onboarding, training).
Ensure processes are documented, repeatable, and built to support a growing private fund client base.
Client Delivery & Quality Oversight
Oversee execution of client engagements to ensure consistency, responsiveness, and timeliness.
Manage project volume and turnaround expectations across the team.
Maintain high‑quality, high‑touch service even as client demand increases.
Leadership Support & Communication
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CCO and senior leadership.
Represent the firm in internal and external interactions as needed.
Promote clear, timely communication across staff and client relationships.

Required Experience
Candidates must have direct experience working with or supporting private funds, including:
Private equity
Hedge funds
Venture capital
Real estate funds
Other private fund advisers or alternative asset managers
Additional requirements include:
Bachelor's degree from a respected institution.
6+ years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in an operational role within consulting, investment management, or a boutique/entrepreneurial environment.
1-2 years leading processes or teams.
Strong understanding of professional services and high‑touch client delivery.
Experience in strategic operations, chief‑of‑staff‑style roles, business management, or right‑hand leadership support.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes and operational structures.
