A respected Texas law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a dynamic, business‑oriented practice handling sophisticated commercial disputes while also supporting occasional matters involving insured clients.
Litigation Associate Key Responsibilities
- Handle a diverse range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, real estate litigation, and shareholder or partnership conflicts.
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation-research, pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Collaborate with partners to develop litigation strategies and deliver high‑quality client service.
- Draft motions, briefs, discovery responses, and related litigation documents.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and strategy.
- Support occasional insurance‑related litigation, such as assisting with defending insured clients or coordinating with carriers on reporting and case management (minimal portion of workload).
- Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to practice growth.
Litigation Associate Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Texas Bar.
- 3-10+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with insurance‑related litigation is a plus but not required.
