Affordable Housing Real Estate Attorney
A reputable client is seeking a highly qualified Attorney to join its Affordable Housing and Community Development Practice Group in the Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multifamily and/or commercial real estate, with a minimum of 2-4 years of applicable experience with multifamily and/or commercial real estate lenders, agency financing programs (FHA, Freddie Mac, or Fannie Mae), developers, and/or property owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financing affordable multifamily real estate deals with Freddie Mac and/or Fannie Mae.
- Drafting transactional documents with precision and clarity.
- Collaborating with clients and team members to achieve project goals.
- Providing expertise in affordable housing development, tax-exempt bond financing, low-income housing tax credits, agency financing programs (FHA, Freddie Mac, or Fannie Mae), and HUD subsidy programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in multifamily and/or commercial real estate.
- Experience with agency financing programs (FHA, Freddie Mac, or Fannie Mae).
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Admission to the DC bar or immediate eligibility to waive into the DC bar.
