Trade Compliance Manager
Job Description
We are partnering with a global organization seeking a Trade Compliance Manager to lead U.S. import/export compliance programs and support international trade operations. This role will serve as a key advisor on customs regulations, trade strategy, and regulatory compliance while collaborating across supply chain, logistics, procurement, and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations and applicable import/export laws.
- Oversee HTS classification, customs valuation, country of origin determinations, USMCA/FTA eligibility, and import documentation.
- Support export compliance activities, including EAR, ECCN classification, CCL reviews, and export licensing requirements.
- Lead trade compliance policies, procedures, training programs, audits, and post-entry reviews.
- Provide guidance on FTZ, Duty Drawback, Antidumping & Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD), and customs rulings.
- Serve as the primary contact for customs compliance inquiries, audits, and investigations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend process improvements to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Track compliance metrics and provide reporting and insights to leadership.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of trade compliance experience with a strong focus on import operations and customs compliance.
- Deep knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, customs valuation, PGA requirements, and USMCA.
- Experience with FTZ, Duty Drawback, AD/CVD, EAR, ECCN, and export licensing.
- Proven ability to lead compliance programs, audits, training initiatives, and cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, metals, industrial products, or complex global supply chains preferred.
- U.S. Customs Broker License preferred.
