About the Role
The Trade Compliance Manager will oversee all U.S. trade compliance activities, ensuring adherence to international regulations and preventing violations across import and export operations. This position manages product classification, licensing strategies, documentation accuracy, and regulatory reporting while partnering closely with supply chain, procurement, legal, logistics, and external stakeholders. The role is central to safeguarding compliance and supporting international business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export/import regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and foreign trade requirements.
- Develop and execute export licensing strategies and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date documentation (licenses, ECCNs, certificates of origin).
- Conduct internal audits, respond to government inquiries, and support regulatory investigations.
- Deliver training and increase organizational awareness of trade regulations, risks, and procedural updates.
- Draft, update, and enforce trade compliance policies and internal controls.
- Collaborate across supply chain, logistics, finance, procurement, and legal to integrate compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks, staying current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
