About the Opportunity
A leading alternative investment platform with a sizable real estate credit business is seeking a Senior Real Estate Paralegal to support its legal and investment teams. This position will play a key role in commercial real estate lending transactions, entity management, UCC administration, due diligence, and transaction closings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented paralegal who enjoys working on sophisticated real estate finance transactions in a fast-paced investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, amend, continue, and terminate UCC financing statements in connection with secured lending transactions
- Review loan and closing documents, including credit agreements, security agreements, mortgages, pledge agreements, and related collateral documents
- Coordinate lien searches, litigation searches, and other due diligence reviews across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist with entity formation, governance documents, good standing certificates, and organizational matters.
- Support real estate acquisitions, financings, developments, dispositions, and related transactions.
- Manage transaction checklists, closing deliverables, and post-closing requirements.
- Work closely with attorneys, lenders, borrowers, title companies, and outside service providers to facilitate transaction execution.
- Conduct corporate and real estate due diligence and prepare summaries for legal and business stakeholders.
- Maintain organized transaction records and ensure accuracy across a large volume of legal documentation.
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate, finance, lending, or corporate transactions.
- Hands-on experience with UCC filings, lien searches, and secured lending transactions.
- Familiarity with loan documents, collateral packages, and closing processes.
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and document management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal and business teams.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
