Our client is a leading global biotechnology company with operations spanning research services, biologics development, cell and gene therapy, and advanced life sciences technologies. The Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as a key legal partner to senior leadership across the organization. Reporting directly to the US Head of Legal, this individual will support a broad range of commercial, corporate, litigation, and strategic business matters while helping scale the legal function alongside a growing global business.

Responsibilities

Lead the review, negotiation, and management of a wide range of commercial agreements while advising business stakeholders on transactional and operational matters.
Manage litigation matters, internal investigations, employment-related disputes, and outside counsel relationships.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams across the U.S. and internationally to provide practical, risk-based legal advice.
Contribute to the development and expansion of the legal department, including the potential to oversee junior legal professionals as the team grows

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school
5+ years of legal experience gained through a combination of law firm and in-house roles.
Strong commercial contracting experience with the ability to independently support sophisticated business transactions and due diligence initiatives
Prior experience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industries required
