Real Estate Finance Attorney
A highly regarded law firm with a nationally respected finance platform is seeking a Senior Associate or Junior Partner to join its Real Estate Finance practice. The team advises leading lenders, sponsors, private equity funds, and institutional investors on complex financing transactions and is known for pairing technically strong work with a genuinely collaborative, balanced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise financial institutions, private credit funds, and sponsors on complex financing transactions, including:
- Senior and syndicated credit facilities
- Mezzanine and structured finance arrangements
- Preferred equity and intercreditor structures
- Loan amendments, restructurings, and recapitalizations
- Lead transactions from structuring through closing, including:
- Drafting and negotiating primary loan and ancillary financing documents
- Coordinating deal execution across internal teams and counterparties
- Serve as day-to-day client contact and trusted advisor on financing strategy and deal mechanics
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented finance practice
- Participate in practice development initiatives, with flexibility around business development expectations depending on level and interest
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4-10+ years of experience in real estate finance, structured lending, or sponsor-side finance at a strong law firm
- Demonstrated ability to run and manage complex financing transactions with limited oversight
- Deep understanding of credit structures, intercreditor dynamics, and negotiated risk allocation
- Commercial, solutions-oriented mindset and strong client presence
- Portable business is welcome but not required - this role is about platform fit and long-term growth
