Real Estate Attorney
A national real estate group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Transactions and Finance Attorney to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia. This mid-level attorney will play a key role in handling complex commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing transactions. The ideal candidate will bring strong law firm training, excellent drafting skills, and a collaborative mindset. The role will sit in Philadelphia in a hybrid structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and leasing.
- Advise on real estate finance matters, including mortgage lending, mezzanine financing, and construction loans.
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, and other related contracts.
- Conduct due diligence and manage closings for real estate transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including developers, lenders, and investors.
- Stay current on real estate laws and market trends affecting commercial transactions.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (PA preferred or ability to waive in).
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions and finance at a reputable law firm.
- Strong understanding of real estate finance structures and documentation.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Local to Philadelphia or willing to relocate.
- Experience working with institutional clients, REITs, or private equity real estate funds.
- Familiarity with zoning, land use, and development matters is a plus.
