Junior Corporate / M&A Associate
A growing corporate practice is seeking a Junior Corporate / M&A Associate to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney interested in building a long-term practice focused on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience and a demonstrated interest in corporate and transactional law. Direct M&A experience is not required, provided the candidate can show meaningful exposure to or interest in corporate work through coursework, internships, clerkships, summer associate experience, prior professional experience, or other relevant involvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and other strategic transactions
- Support attorneys throughout all stages of a transaction, including due diligence, drafting, negotiation, signing, and closing
- Draft and review corporate agreements, ancillary transaction documents, resolutions, consents, and organizational documents
- Assist with entity formation, corporate governance, and general corporate matters
- Conduct legal research and provide support on a variety of corporate and transactional matters
- Work closely with senior attorneys and clients while developing hands-on transactional experience
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of legal experience
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Demonstrated interest in corporate, M&A, or transactional law through coursework, internships, clerkships, summer associate experience, professional experience, or similar exposure
- Strong academic credentials, writing skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interest in developing a long-term corporate/M&A practice
- Admission to the applicable state bar, or eligibility to become admitted
