My client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a mid-level Employment Associate (3+ years) to join its highly regarded Employment Group. This is a rare opportunity to step into a true counseling-focused role with significant international exposure, working closely with a globally integrated team on sophisticated, cross-border matters.
This position is ideal for an associate looking to move beyond purely domestic work and gain hands-on experience advising multinational clients ranging from emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 organizations on complex employment issues tied to corporate transactions and global workforce strategy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including diligence and risk assessment
- Counseling on global and cross-border employment matters, partnering with colleagues across international offices
- Drafting and negotiating employment agreements, retention packages, and restrictive covenants
- Advising on reductions in force, employee separations, and workforce planning
- Providing strategic guidance on employment policies, compliance, and employee mobility

What They're Looking For
- 3+ years of employment counseling experience (international experience strongly preferred; required for more senior candidates)
- Experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or similarly sophisticated practice
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written/verbal communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- JD Required
Compensation & Benefits
- Highly competitive compensation: $260,000 - $420,000 (market-dependent)
