Corporate Paralegal - Global Asset Manager
My client, a Global, Alternative Asset Manager, is looking to bring on a Corporate Paralegal to join its legal team. The person in this role will be supporting various legal and compliance activities for the firm and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. As a member of a small team, this person will be expected to operate as key contributor to support the wider Legal & Compliance team. This role will be based in the company's Greenwich, CT office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of NDAs, Engagement Letters, Vendor Contracts, and deal documents, including managing signature page distribution, routing document
- Support the Investment Team on transaction closings and maintain deal documentation
- Prepare governance documents, assisting with management of entities across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist with AML and KYC
- Ad hoc projects as needed
- Compliance monitoring activities such as maintenance of Watch and Restricted Lists
- Available during non-regular working hours on occasion
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- 3+ YOE as a paralegal in the financial services space
- Ideally having worked for a Hedge Fund or Private Equity firm
- Creative problem solver
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and able to work effectively on your own
