Contract Specialist

Join a collaborative and supportive environment where veterinary professionals are empowered to grow their careers, deliver high-quality care, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families!

About the Role:

We are partnered with a Leading Veterinary Organization that is looking to bring on a Contract Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of employment agreements-primarily for veterinarians and medical directors.

In this role, you'll draft, revise, and support the negotiation and execution of contracts that align with corporate standards, state-specific legal requirements, and business objectives. You'll work closely with in-house legal counsel, field leadership, recruiters, and hospital teams to ensure contracts reflect accurate compensation models, benefits, and restrictive covenants.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong attention to detail, legal acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Draft, revise, and execute employment agreements and amendments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure contracts comply with federal and state employment laws, veterinary practice acts, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with legal, HR, finance, and operations teams to align contract terms with business needs.
  • Support contract negotiations and provide guidance on compensation structures, including base salary, production-based pay, and bonuses.
  • Maintain and manage contract templates, workflows, and documentation using CLM platforms (DocuSign CLM preferred).
  • Conduct research and support post-employment contract enforcement when needed.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience managing employment agreements and full contract lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with CLM systems; experience with DocuSign CLM is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of compensation models, benefit structures, and restrictive covenants.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and convey complex information clearly.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
