Our client is an industry leader in the energy sector, recognized for innovation and operational excellence. They are seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their legal team and provide strategic legal support across a broad range of commercial and transactional matters. This is a high-impact role that will work closely with business leaders to enable growth while managing risk in complex commercial operations.
Commercial Counsel Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), vendor and supplier contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and equipment purchase and sale agreements.
- Provide legal guidance on supply chain transactions, procurement initiatives, and vendor relationships to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, and procurement to support business objectives while mitigating legal risk.
- Advise on contract interpretation, enforcement, and dispute resolution, and support transactional projects critical to the company's success.
Commercial Counsel Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3-7 years of experience in commercial law, ideally within the energy, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with precision and business acumen.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
