Position Overview
The Assistant General Counsel will provide legal support for real estate transactions, lending activities, and related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate documents for commercial and multi-family real estate transactions.
  • Structure and document loan agreements, security instruments, and related financing documents.
  • Advise on acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate assets.
  • Provide legal guidance on affordable housing programs and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Assist with title, survey, and due diligence review for real estate transactions.
  • Support closing processes for loans and property transactions, including coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
  • Address legal issues related to construction financing, permanent financing, and refinancing.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the U.S.
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial and multi-family transactions and lending activities.
  • Strong understanding of financing structures and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
