Trust and Estates Attorney
Our client, a respected mid‑sized law firm with a long history of serving families and businesses in Montgomery County, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join a growing and well‑regarded Estates & Trusts practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys building relationships, tackling complex planning challenges, and guiding clients through important life decisions.
What You'll Do
- Develop customized estate plans tailored to each client's goals and circumstances
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments
- Advise clients on tax‑efficient planning strategies and risk‑mitigation approaches
- Manage estate and trust administration matters from start to finish
- Guide clients and families through the probate process with clarity and compassion
- Assist with fiduciary‑related disputes, including will and trust challenges
- Conduct client meetings and provide practical, easy‑to‑understand legal guidance
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to create integrated planning solutions
- Stay current on developments in estate planning, tax law, and fiduciary matters
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in estate planning and administration
- Strong understanding of tax‑focused planning; LL.M. in Taxation or CPA background is a plus
- Admission to the Maryland Bar (or eligibility); additional bar admissions such as DC, VA, or FL are a bonus
- Someone who enjoys client interaction, communicates clearly, and thrives in a supportive team environment
