Senior Product Counsel at VC FinTech (SF or NY)
This is a hybrid role (2 days per week) open to the following locations: San Francisco, or New York City
A VC backed Fintech is seeking an experienced Product Counsel reporting into the Divisional General Counsel. This role will provide product support across the securities and regulatory space. You will also have the opportunity for regular collaboration across various departments, as well as the ability to gain in-house experience in an exciting and fast paced industry.
The Product Counsel responsibilities include:
- Advising product teams on product structure, regulatory compliance, including relevant securities and compliance laws (such as 33 and 34 act) and privacy regulations
- Work closely with product, engineering, infosec, and compliance teams
- Support in other general legal areas as needed
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate has 5+ years legal work with a mix of big law firm and in house experience within the financial services and/or fintech industries (such as registered investment firm, broker dealer, etc.)
- JD from a top law school
