Project Counsel
An industry‑leading renewable energy company is seeking a Project Counsel to support the development, construction, financing, and operation of utility‑scale energy projects across the United States. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or broader energy sectors.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts supporting project development, construction, operations, and financing.
- Support legal needs across the life cycle of energy projects.
- Provide clear, business‑oriented guidance to internal teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk allocation.
- Assist with project‑level financing transactions, including tax equity, debt financing, and joint ventures.
- Manage document flow, revisions, and negotiation strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in a U.S. state bar.
- 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in renewable energy, construction, project development, infrastructure, or commercial transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a practical, solution‑driven approach.
