Litigation Associate

The team is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate/Counsel Attorney to join our Phoenix, AZ office. This role is ideal for an attorney with a general litigation background who is interested in developing or expanding their experience in insurance defense. You will have the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact matters, collaborate with experienced colleagues nationwide, and sharpen your litigation skills across a variety of practice areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload independently from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
- Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and taking depositions
- Attend and represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other proceedings
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide regular case updates and strategic guidance
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across offices to deliver high-quality results
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in Arizona (required)
- Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience (general litigation backgrounds encouraged to apply)
- Interest in or exposure to insurance defense matters is a plus
- Experience with areas such as general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, transportation, products liability, or employment litigation is helpful but not required
- Strong experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions is essential
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Deposition, court appearance, or trial experience is a plus
