Labor & Employment Associate - Los Angeles or Newport Beach (Hybrid)

A dynamic law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with at least 2 years of civil litigation experience to join its Los Angeles or Orange County office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of employment matters-including single-plaintiff cases, wage & hour class actions, PAGA claims, and compliance counseling-within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle employment litigation from discovery through trial preparation, including motion practice and case strategy.
  • Represent employers in matters involving FEHA claims, wage & hour disputes, and agency complaints.
  • Advise clients on compliance audits, risk management, and employment policies.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and related documents.
  • Engage in direct client interaction and manage high-level responsibilities early in your career.

Key Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of civil litigation experience, including discovery and motion practice; trial prep experience preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exposure to employment law issues such as FEHA, wage & hour, and PAGA is a plus.
