$70,000 - $90,000 Base + Bonus
My client is a growing FinTech company looking to add a Financial Crime Analyst to its New York team.
This role is ideal for someone who has built a foundation within AML, fraud, or financial crime compliance and is looking for an opportunity with broader exposure and room to grow. You will be involved in day-to-day investigative work while also gaining experience across a range of financial crime and risk initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review account and payment activity for potential financial crime concerns
- Conduct investigations and research across customer activity
- Evaluate unusual activity and determine appropriate next steps
- Maintain clear and accurate case documentation
- Support the firm's broader AML and fraud prevention efforts
- Recognize trends and potential areas of risk
- Contribute to improvements across internal processes and controls
- Work with colleagues across the organization on financial crime matters
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience within financial services
- Experience in AML, fraud, financial crime, or investigations
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring and investigative casework
- Understanding of AML and financial crime regulatory expectations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate investigative findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
Preferred Background
- Experience within FinTech, banking, payments, brokerage, or another regulated financial services environment
- Exposure to KYC/CDD, sanctions, or fraud prevention
- Experience handling investigations from initial review through resolution
Compensation
$70,000 - $90,000 base + bonus and benefits
