My client is a growing FinTech company looking to add a Financial Crime Analyst to its New York team.

This role is ideal for someone who has built a foundation within AML, fraud, or financial crime compliance and is looking for an opportunity with broader exposure and room to grow. You will be involved in day-to-day investigative work while also gaining experience across a range of financial crime and risk initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Review account and payment activity for potential financial crime concerns
  • Conduct investigations and research across customer activity
  • Evaluate unusual activity and determine appropriate next steps
  • Maintain clear and accurate case documentation
  • Support the firm's broader AML and fraud prevention efforts
  • Recognize trends and potential areas of risk
  • Contribute to improvements across internal processes and controls
  • Work with colleagues across the organization on financial crime matters

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience within financial services
  • Experience in AML, fraud, financial crime, or investigations
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring and investigative casework
  • Understanding of AML and financial crime regulatory expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate investigative findings clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred Background

  • Experience within FinTech, banking, payments, brokerage, or another regulated financial services environment
  • Exposure to KYC/CDD, sanctions, or fraud prevention
  • Experience handling investigations from initial review through resolution

Compensation

$70,000 - $90,000 base + bonus and benefits
