Position Overview: The Divisional Chief Legal Officer (CLO) for the West Florida Division is a key leadership role within one of the most well-established markets of our client. This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer and involves overseeing a team of six attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of six attorneys, including five healthcare specialists who operate as general counsels for their respective hospitals and health systems, and one real estate attorney.
- Conduct due diligence for physician group acquisitions and advise on joint ventures.
- Oversee hospital operations matters and provide legal insights to non-legal business partners.
- Advise on growth initiatives for the division from a legal perspective.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage transactional issues.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare law, with a strong background in regulatory and transactional issues.
- Florida Bar or In House Florida License
- Experience in real estate law is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team of attorneys.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide strategic legal advice to non-legal business partners.
