Corporate Counsel at VC backed Insurtech
Larson Maddox is partnered with a mid-stage VC funded Insurtech hiring for their in house legal department.
This is a mid-leevl Corporate Counsel role that will support the growing legal team in a variety of functions. This is a fully remote role open to candidates across the United States and will report into the Deputy Lawyer in the team, with significant visibility to the Chief Legal Officer.
Day to Day Responsibilities include:
- Handling a high volume of commercial agreements, both outbound and inbound sales transactions (SaaS, licensing, partnership, etc.)
- Supporting corporate administrative work and corporate compliance
- Establishing playbooks and policies to help scale the legal team
- Forming relationships across the business to best integrate legal with other departments
- General support as it relates to IPO readiness
Ideal Background:
- The ideal candidate has 3-6+ years of legal experience, with a strong preference to those coming directly from Big Law or a startup, fast paced environment.
- Active bar license in at least one US state
