Commercial Litigation Associate - Construction & Complex Disputes (California | Statewide Flexibility)
A nationally respected litigation platform is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its fast‑growing Construction & Complex Litigation practice. This role is open to candidates anywhere in California and offers the chance to work on high‑stakes, non‑insurance litigation involving multimillion‑dollar disputes.
The practice handles sophisticated matters at the intersection of construction, commercial contracts, and regulatory enforcement, with early responsibility and meaningful client exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and hearings
- Work on complex matters involving:
- Large‑scale construction disputes
- Business contract claims
- False Claims Act matters
- Bidding disputes and statutory enforcement
- Appear in state and federal court, as well as arbitration (including international arbitration)
- Take on increasing responsibility with mentorship and training support
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership
- 4+ years of commercial litigation experience
- Construction litigation experience preferred but not required
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Technical or engineering background is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: Approximately $240,000 to $300,000, depending on experience and location
