Commercial Counsel
Our client, a Global Chemical Manufacturer is looking to hire a Commercial Counsel to join the global commercial group of their legal team. In this role, you will manage all commercial legal matters for each division of the company, as well as interact with all levels of management on both the commercial and the business end. Teams you'll be working in tandem with in addition to the commercial team include procurement, sales, marketing, IT, finance, quality, etc.

Job Description:
- Advise on a broad range of commercial legal matters, including transactions, contracts, regulations, and claims
- Support commercial matters via negotiations, relating to both supply & procurement
- Support litigation and other matters handled in coordination with outside counsel under the Head of Litigation
- Work cross-functionally with employees across the company and business units
- Draft and review a broad range of legal documents including contracts, quality requirements, compliance instructions, and training materials
- Train and work alongside associates on a global scale
- You will report directly to the Commercial Counsel Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial law, strong preference for in-house commercial experience.
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing / manufacturing space is a plus.
- Comprehensive experience with commercial contracts, UCC-governed contracts is a plus.
- Proactive, solutions-minded, and business-oriented mindset
- Comfortability working alongside co-workers from legal support staff to C-suite
- A membership of the Bar Association, with a preference to Texas
Compensation:
- 160,000 - 180,000
