Job Description

This position requires a versatile legal professional capable of addressing a wide range of legal matters within a dynamic business environment. The Associate Counsel will support the company's strategic and operational goals by managing transactional work, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, and advising internal stakeholders on legal risk and compliance matters.

The role provides direct support to senior legal leadership and collaborates with executives, management teams, and colleagues across global operations. Ideal candidates bring a blend of corporate legal experience, business acumen, and the ability to anticipate and mitigate legal issues.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of contracts, proposals, templates, and other legal documents to support business growth.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams and business units to gather information, assess needs, and deliver practical legal solutions tailored to operational objectives.
  • Assist with major corporate transactions, including due diligence, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and training of corporate policies, governance frameworks, and compliance programs.
  • Support the oversight of outside counsel to ensure cost‑effective and high‑quality legal services.
  • Stay informed of industry‑specific regulations and apply sound risk‑management strategies to protect the organization's interests.
  • Provide general legal support to internal clients and collaborate with other members of the legal team on various assignments.


Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA‑accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of legal experience - in-house preferred.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial agreements with a strong understanding of business operations and relevant legal considerations.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
