A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate with 4-7 years of experience to join its highly regarded Corporate practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney seeking meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and the chance to work on sophisticated M&A and private equity transactions alongside a nationally recognized deal team.

The practice advises buyers, sellers, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic investors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions across a broad range of industries. Associates are given significant ownership of matters from an early stage and play an active role throughout the entire deal lifecycle.

Corporate M&A Associate Responsibilities:

  • Represent private equity sponsors, strategic investors, buyers, and sellers in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, equity documents, and related transaction documentation
  • Serve as a key member of deal teams with responsibility for managing critical aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing
  • Coordinate with attorneys across finance, tax, regulatory, and other specialty practices to execute complex transactions
  • Maintain direct interaction with clients, opposing counsel, and advisors throughout the transaction process

Corporate M&A Associate Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 4-7 years of experience handling mergers and acquisitions within a law firm environment
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience involving complex M&A and private equity transactions
  • Experience managing key components of transactions and working directly with clients and deal teams
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication and project management skills
