Larson Maddox has been instructed to recruit an Associate for the Corporate / M&A practice of a leading International law firm.
This opportunity offers the chance to join a highly regarded team advising domestic and international clients on complex M&A, private equity and corporate transactions across a broad range of industries. The team is involved in some of the market's most sophisticated transactions and regularly advises investors, financial sponsors, corporates and entrepreneurs on strategically significant matters.
The role can be based in Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Düsseldorf or Hamburg.
The Role
You will advise clients on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including:
- Domestic and cross-border M&A transactions
- Private equity investments and buyouts
- Corporate acquisitions and disposals
- Auction processes and competitive sale transactions
- Joint ventures and strategic partnerships
- Venture capital and growth capital investments
- Corporate reorganisations and restructurings
- Management participation programmes and incentive structures
- Legal due diligence exercises
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documentation
- Corporate governance and general corporate advisory work
- Coordination of complex multi-jurisdictional transactions
You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers while gaining direct client exposure from an early stage. The team advises on transactions across a variety of sectors, including technology, industrials, healthcare, infrastructure, energy, consumer goods and financial services.

Candidate Profile
We are looking to speak with lawyers who have:
- 0-5 years' PQE in Corporate/M&A
- Experience gained at a leading international or well-regarded German law firm
- Exposure to M&A, private equity, corporate advisory or transactional matters
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to client work
- Fluent German and strong English language skills
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative and high-performing team
