My client is a leading and growing Investment Management firm, and we are looking to recruit a Legal professional. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with approximately 2-3 years of experience looking to gain broad in-house exposure across financial markets documentation and day-to-day legal advisory work. Experience with ISDA documentation is highly advantageous
Responsibilities for this Legal Counsel - Investment Management role
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage derivatives and financing documentation, including ISDA, CSA, GMRA, clearing, and brokerage agreements.
- Support the negotiation of commercial agreements, including NDAs, onboarding agreements, investor documentation, and related contractual arrangements.
- Partner with external counsel on complex legal and regulatory matters.
- Identify and assess legal and commercial risks, providing practical recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with investment, trading, operations, and risk teams on transaction execution and documentation processes.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
- Maintain contract databases, legal trackers, and management reporting.
Requirements for this Legal Counsel - Investment Management role
- ~2-3 years of legal, financial markets, or commercial contracting experience.
- Exposure to asset management, financial services, or commercial agreements preferred.
- Familiarity with derivatives documentation, particularly ISDA agreements, is advantageous.
