An AmLaw‑ranked firm with a growing Labor & Employment practice is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate (3+ years) to join its California team. This role offers a mix of litigation and counseling work across a broad range of employment matters.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling employment cases and be interested in working on both single‑plaintiff and class/PAGA matters while developing client‑facing advisory skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle employment litigation matters including:
- Single‑plaintiff disputes
- Wage & hour class actions and PAGA claims
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct administrative hearings and proceedings
- Provide day‑to‑day counseling to employers
- Assist with policy drafting and training initiatives
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Active California Bar membership
- 3+ years of employment litigation experience
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage matters independently
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: Approximately $165,000 to $190,000, depending on experience
- Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits package
- Hybrid work flexibility
