Employment Class Action Associate (3-5 Years) - California (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley | Hybrid)
A nationally recognized law firm with a strong employment practice is seeking a mid‑to‑senior level Employment Associate to join its California team. This is a strong opportunity to focus on high‑stakes wage & hour and workplace class action litigation within a collaborative and well‑established practice.
The ideal candidate will have meaningful exposure to employment litigation and an interest in trial‑oriented work, particularly in defending complex wage & hour matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Defend employers in complex employment litigation matters, including:
- Wage & hour class actions
- Workplace class and collective actions
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and dispositive motions
- Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation
- Take on increasing responsibility for case management and client interaction
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Active California Bar membership
- 3-5 years of employment litigation experience
- Experience defending wage & hour claims or class actions strongly preferred
- Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Interest in trial work and hands‑on litigation experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: Approximately $250,000 to $310,000, depending on experience
- Bonus potential and comprehensive benefits package
- Hybrid flexibility across multiple California offices
