About the Role

We are partnering with one of the world's top quantitative hedge funds to identify a highly skilled AI Internal Control Specialist. This role is ideal for professionals from technology-driven organizations who are passionate about building robust internal control systems for cutting-edge AI applications in finance.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's AI governance framework, ensuring compliance with global standards, and mitigating risks associated with advanced AI technologies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Integration & Risk Assessment

  • Review and interpret AI-related laws, data privacy regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Identify and assess risks such as algorithmic bias, data leakage, model security, IP infringement, and contract performance.
  • Design and implement targeted control measures to address these risks.

2. System Development & Compliance

  • Lead the formulation, updating, and implementation of internal control systems across AI service delivery, R&D, technical partnerships, and data security.
  • Develop risk management system products and drive their execution.
  • Ensure alignment with international standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and emerging AI governance frameworks.

3. Process Optimization & Technology Integration

  • Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and risk points.
  • Recommend and implement optimization strategies.
  • Explore and deploy technologies like RPA and process automation tools to enhance control effectiveness.

4. Risk Reviews & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Conduct control checks and internal risk reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify control gaps and implement solutions.
  • Promote a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in internal control, risk management, or compliance within tech-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, data governance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and AI risk management standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF).
  • Experience with process automation tools (e.g., RPA) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
