Head of Compliance
Our client, a national, high-growth dental organization, is looking for a senior compliance professional to lead its compliance program and operations. Reporting to the COO, this executive will develop and manage a scalable compliance function to support a multi-state, multi-specialty network with a rapidly expanding footprint. This is a remote position with some expected travel to the Southwest region.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive compliance program, aligning strategy, resources, and team structure to support ongoing organizational growth.
- Lead the development of internal policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and OIG standards.
- Create compliance education program and deliver training to all business units (clinical and non-clinical), partnering with doctors and senior leadership to embed ethical practices into daily operations.
- Oversee internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations, ensuring timely resolution of issues and clear reporting to executive leadership and the Board.
- Manage credentialing and exclusion monitoring processes, while serving as the HIPAA Privacy Officer to uphold data privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or compliance certification (CHC, CHPC) strongly preferred
- 5+ YOE leading healthcare compliance within dental or specialty practice group environments
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, False Claims Act, and Medicaid regulations
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and advising senior business leaders
