General Litigation Associate
A highly regarded California-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on experience across all phases of civil litigation while working closely with experienced litigators in a collaborative and mentorship-driven environment.
This posting is for San Diego or Northern California office locations. Compensation range $158,000-$190,000
Responsibilities
- Assist with all stages of civil litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents
- Manage case deadlines, filings, and compliance with court rules and procedures
- Participate in client communications, witness preparation, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
- Work directly with partners and senior attorneys while taking on increasing levels of responsibility
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience with discovery, motion practice, and case management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment
