About Our Client

Our client is a rapidly growing consulting firm focused on supporting private funds and other investment management organizations with regulatory, compliance, and operational advisory needs. As the firm continues to expand, they are investing in the infrastructure, training, and knowledge-sharing capabilities needed to ensure consistent service delivery, employee development, and operational excellence across the organization.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Director of Training & Knowledge Management to build and lead a critical function that will support the firm's continued growth. This individual will be responsible for creating the training programs, learning resources, and knowledge infrastructure that help employees onboard quickly, perform consistently, and deliver high-quality work across the organization.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys building from scratch. Rather than maintaining an existing program, you'll have the opportunity to define best practices, create scalable learning solutions, and establish the systems and resources that become the foundation for how the firm develops and shares knowledge.

The ideal candidate combines strong writing and communication skills with experience in compliance, legal, financial services, or another technical professional-services environment. They are equally comfortable partnering with subject matter experts, developing learning content, and creating structures that make information easy to access and apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver the firm's internal training program, including onboarding, professional development, skills-based training, and ongoing educational initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge management framework, including templates, checklists, process documentation, reference materials, and best-practice libraries.
  • Transform complex technical and regulatory concepts into practical, user-friendly training and reference resources.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts and business leaders to capture institutional knowledge and convert it into scalable learning materials.
  • Ensure training and knowledge resources remain accurate, relevant, and aligned with evolving regulations, industry developments, and internal methodologies.
  • Establish standards, processes, and governance for how knowledge is created, maintained, organized, and accessed across the organization.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and knowledge management initiatives through adoption, onboarding efficiency, quality metrics, and employee feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology, content management systems, and AI-enabled tools to improve knowledge sharing and information retrieval.
  • Serve as a strategic resource focused on improving consistency, efficiency, and knowledge retention across the business.

Qualifications

  • Meaningful experience within compliance, legal, financial services, or a related professional-services environment.
  • Demonstrated success building training programs, knowledge management frameworks, content libraries, or learning initiatives from the ground up.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical subject matter and create clear, engaging content.
  • Experience developing instructional materials, training content, documentation, templates, or knowledge resources.
  • Familiarity with knowledge management tools, content repositories, document management systems, and AI-assisted search or retrieval technologies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives independently.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with subject matter experts and key stakeholders.
  • Self-starter mentality with a high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Passion for creating scalable processes, improving knowledge sharing, and enabling employee success.

Why Join?

  • Fully remote opportunity with a growing and dynamic organization.
  • Unique chance to build and own the firm's training and knowledge management function from the ground up.
  • High-impact role with visibility across leadership and client-facing teams.
  • Opportunity to shape how knowledge is captured, shared, and applied as the organization scales.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that values initiative, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive base salary of $125,000 - $175,000 plus the opportunity for long-term growth and advancement.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a training, learning, knowledge management, compliance, or professional-services leader who wants to create lasting impact within a rapidly growing organization.
