Compliance Officer - Private & Investment Bank in Hong Kong
CLIENT BACKGROUND
A well-established international financial firm is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its Hong Kong office. This role reports directly to the Compliance Manager and plays a key part in ensuring the firm's regulatory integrity and operational excellence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage client lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding of high-net-worth individuals
- Conduct due diligence and maintain accurate client records throughout the relationship
- Monitor transactions and assess risks to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
- Review and enhance internal compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and contribute to risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent compliance practices across departments
- Provide guidance on ethical standards and regulatory expectations to staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in compliance or AML roles within financial institutions or consulting firms
- Strong understanding of private client services and international regulatory environments
- Proven track record in client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and policy review
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
