About the Opportunity
A leading financial intelligence and analytics organization is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Counsel to join its growing legal team. This role will serve as a key legal advisor supporting commercial real estate and structured finance initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders on complex transactions, regulatory matters, and market-facing products.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise on legal matters relating to commercial real estate finance, structured products, and capital markets transactions.
- Review and analyze transaction documents, offering materials, servicing agreements, loan documentation, and related real estate finance instruments.
- Provide legal guidance on CMBS transactions, securitizations, and broader commercial real estate lending structures.
- Partner with business teams on product development, risk management, and regulatory considerations impacting commercial real estate markets.
- Review legal and transactional risks associated with real estate-backed financing structures.
- Support negotiations with counterparties, clients, and external counsel.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting commercial real estate finance and securitization markets.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- 6+ years of legal experience gained at a leading law firm, financial institution, rating agency, asset manager, or other sophisticated financial services organization.
- Strong background in commercial real estate finance, structured finance, securitization, or capital markets.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing complex transaction documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience with CMBS transactions, commercial mortgage-backed securities, or commercial real estate securitizations.
- Familiarity with CRE lending, servicing, and asset-backed financing structures.
- Exposure to rating agency, investment banking, or structured products environments.
- Experience with ABS transactions involving data center assets is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of broader structured finance and securitization markets.
