A respected law firm is seeking a litigation associate to join its growing Louisville office. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters across a variety of industries, with an emphasis on complex civil disputes, product liability, mass tort, insurance defense, and other liability-driven litigation.
Responsibilities
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution.
- Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and participate in mediations.
- Handle written discovery, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
- Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients on complex matters.
- Collaborate with experienced litigators on high-exposure cases in state and federal courts.
Qualifications
- 3-10 years of litigation experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Insurance Defense
- Product Liability
- Toxic Tort
- General Liability
- Complex Civil Litigation
- Commercial Litigation
- Construction Litigation
- Catastrophic Injury Defense
- Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
- Deposition and motion practice experience preferred.
- Licensed or eligible to practice in Kentucky.
