Senior Litigation Attorney - General Liability / Auto Defense

Overview
We are partnering with a top national defense litigation platform to hire experienced Senior Litigation Attorneys to support a growing general liability and auto defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated, high‑exposure matters while working within a collaborative, well‑resourced team environment.
Attorneys in this role will manage a varied caseload involving general liability, auto, transportation, personal injury, and related defense matters, with meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with flexibility depending on team needs and case requirements.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
- Appear in court and participate in hearings, conferences, and mediations as needed
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues in a team‑oriented environment
- Provide timely client communication, reporting, and strategic case assessments
- Contribute to case strategy and resolution planning on complex, high‑exposure matters
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Admission to practice in at least one applicable U.S. jurisdiction (location‑dependent)
- 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably on the defense side
- Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
- General liability
- Auto / motor vehicle defense
- Transportation / trucking
- Personal injury or catastrophic injury
- Strong experience with motion practice, depositions, and case management
- Trial experience is a plus (first‑ or second‑chair experience preferred, but not required)
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage matters independently while contributing within a team structure
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: approximately $190,000 - $225,000, commensurate with experience
- Eligibility for discretionary bonuses
