The Senior Counsel will be responsible for:
- Advising on property & casualty insurance matters and broader regulatory considerations
- Drafting, reviewing, and interpreting policies, endorsements, and key legal agreements
- Supporting state DOI filings and handling regulatory responses
- Managing DOI complaints, claims-related inquiries, and policy interpretation matters
- Assessing how regulatory and statutory changes impact insurance products and strategy
- Partnering closely with internal stakeholders across business units
- Collaborating with outside counsel on claims, disputes, and other legal matters
The Senior Counsel should have the following qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing
- 4-5+ years of experience in property & casualty insurance law
- Prior law firm or in-house insurance legal experience preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate independently while staying closely aligned with business teams
