The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Senior Associate or Senior Counsel to join its Class Action (Labor & Employment) Practice Group in Texas. This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote or in a hybrid capacity, depending on location and candidate preference. The role provides the opportunity to handle complex, high-stakes class action litigation, work directly with sophisticated clients, and play a key role in defending cutting-edge employment and consumer-related claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Defend employers and corporate clients in complex class and collective action litigation.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other substantive legal filings.
- Conduct legal research and develop creative litigation strategies for complex disputes.
- Manage wage and hour, discrimination, privacy, EEOC, DOL, and related employment claims.
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices on nationally significant class action matters.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic legal counsel throughout litigation.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in Texas and in good standing.
- 7+ years of complex litigation experience required.
- Experience defending class action and collective action lawsuits strongly preferred.
- Background in Labor & Employment litigation preferred, including wage and hour, discrimination, EEOC, or DOL matters.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Ability to manage sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
