Senior Counsel at Leading Data Center Company
A leading data center and digital infrastructure company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its growing legal team. This attorney will serve as a key partner to commercial, sales, operations, and executive leadership teams, supporting complex customer transactions and strategic business initiatives across a global platform.
This is a highly visible, business-facing role focused on negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements and supporting some of the company's most important customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including master services agreements, customer agreements, amendments, sales orders, and related commercial documentation.
- Support strategic customer relationships, including major cloud and enterprise customers.
- Partner closely with sales, finance, operations, and leadership teams to facilitate commercial transactions and drive business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, compliance, and commercial risks associated with customer and partner agreements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, negotiation strategies, and risk allocation.
- Support global contracting initiatives involving multiple jurisdictions and business units.
- Develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, and legal processes to support continued growth and operational efficiency.
- Provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- 7+ years of legal experience.
- Current or prior experience working directly for a data center operator.
- Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements.
- Strong business judgment and ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience negotiating and supporting agreements with hyperscale cloud customers.
- Prior law firm experience.
- Experience supporting large enterprise customers and strategic commercial relationships.
- Experience working in a global business environment.
- Familiarity with data center, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud, or other infrastructure-focused industries.
Compensation
Base Salary: $225,000 - $300,000
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Location
Remote within the United States with occasional travel.
