Legal Counsel - Real Estate & International Properties
CLIENT BACKGROUND
Our client is a leading Hong Kong-based property developer and investment platform with a strong presence across real estate development, asset management, and strategic investments.
With a diversified portfolio spanning Hong Kong and international markets, the group is known for its long-term investment strategy and innovative platforms. This role will sit within a high-performing legal team, reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, and supporting both traditional property development as well as investment-driven initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide legal advice across a broad range of real estate and property-related transactions, including development projects, acquisitions, disposals, and asset management
- Support joint ventures, investment structures, and strategic partnerships relating to property and platform investments
- Advise on general corporate and commercial matters, including contracts, governance, and operational legal issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transactional and commercial documentation
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across investment, development, and business teams on both Hong Kong and cross-border matters
- Handle ad hoc legal matters and contribute to overall legal and risk management strategy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Hong Kong qualified solicitor (or common law jurisdiction)
- Ideally 5-10 years' PQE
- Strong experience in real estate / property transactions (law firm or in-house)
- Exposure to property development, acquisitions, or real estate investment platforms is highly preferred
- Additional experience in joint ventures, M&A, or investment transactions would be advantageous
- Background from international law firms, established developers, or institutional investment platforms is preferred
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
