Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and support across all aspects of hedge fund operations. This role involves working closely with senior management and investment teams to ensure compliance, manage legal risks, and facilitate strategic transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on legal and regulatory matters related to hedge fund formation, structuring, and governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including ISDA, prime brokerage, custody, and subscription documents.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across APAC jurisdictions.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and service providers on complex legal issues.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Support internal teams on investor relations, risk management, and transactional activities.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years post-qualification experience (PQE), ideally in a top-tier law firm or financial institution.
- Strong background in funds, financial services, or corporate law.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
