The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Dallas, Texas office. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining opportunities for in-office collaboration, mentorship, and professional development.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to deepen their experience in labor and employment law while working alongside some of the industry's leading practitioners. The role offers exposure to sophisticated employment litigation, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to advise employers on a wide range of workplace issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and assist in developing litigation and case strategies.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Counsel employers on workplace issues, compliance concerns, and risk management strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while delivering practical legal advice.
- Collaborate with attorneys across a nationally recognized labor and employment platform.
- Utilize emerging technologies and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and client service.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Texas law license and good standing.
- 5+ years of litigation experience.
- Labor and employment law experience preferred.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Experience handling employment disputes, workplace investigations, or counseling matters is a plus.
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in leveraging AI and emerging legal technologies in legal practice.
