A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Litigation Attorney to join its Dallas office. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished litigator to work on complex transportation and logistics matters for a major international logistics client while collaborating with attorneys across the country in a flexible hybrid work environment.
Position Overview
The firm is seeking a proactive attorney with significant litigation experience, preferably involving transportation, trucking, logistics, and related regulatory matters. The successful candidate will manage sophisticated cases from inception through resolution, provide strategic counseling to clients, and help navigate emerging legal issues affecting the transportation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a transportation litigation caseload from initial filing through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis concerning transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
- Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients.
- Prepare case evaluations and strategic reports for client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, preferably involving casualty and transportation-related matters.
- First-chair or second-chair trial experience highly preferred.
- Trial experience required.
- Experience handling depositions and motion practice.
- Transportation, trucking, logistics, or regulatory experience preferred.
- Experience with e-commerce or gig-economy related legal issues is a plus.
- Strong analytical, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
