Insurance Defense Attorney
We are partnered with a leading Am Law 100 firm to identify a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join a high‑performing litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex matters across general liability, premises liability, personal injury, tort claims, and related areas, all within a dynamic, collaborative environment that supports professional development and exposure to a broad range of sophisticated legal work.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on strategic legal work
- Handle court appearances, motion practice, and depositions
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide timely status updates
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in New York
- Litigation experience in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, or insurance defense
- Experience in trucking litigation, construction/labor law, and/or transportation matters preferred
- Familiarity with NY Labor Law §§ 200, 240, 241 and OSHA‑related matters a plus
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Experience with legal project management is beneficial
