General Liability Associate

Our client is seeking a motivated Defense Litigation Attorney to join its growing Atlanta office. Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies that align with client objectives and business goals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful analysis of liability and damages issues.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing timely updates, strategic recommendations, and case assessments.
• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a collaborative team environment.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings as appropriate.
• Assist in evaluating and negotiating settlements when advantageous to clients.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Georgia bar license and member in good standing.
• 2-8 years of litigation experience, preferably in one or more of the following areas:
  • General Liability
  • Premises Liability
  • Personal Injury Defense
  • Product Liability
  • Premises Security
  • Auto and Transportation Defense
  • Gig Economy-Related Litigation
  • Other Civil Defense Matters
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience communicating directly with clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture.
• Trial, arbitration, and mediation experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with litigation technology and legal project management tools is preferred.
