The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate to join their Dallas, Texas office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated employment law practice alongside one of the premier management-side labor and employment teams in the country.
The position offers exposure to a wide range of employment matters, including single-plaintiff litigation, class and collective actions, administrative proceedings, workplace investigations, and day-to-day counseling for employers across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Defend and litigate employment-related lawsuits and agency charges.
- Represent employers in state and federal court proceedings.
- Handle matters before administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Manage employment disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, employment torts, contract disputes, and restrictive covenant matters.
- Assist in defending class and collective actions.
- Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents.
- Provide practical legal advice and day-to-day counseling to employers on labor and employment law issues.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategic, business-focused solutions.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active Texas Bar admission or ability to obtain admission promptly.
- 3+ years of litigation experience, with employment law experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of state and federal court procedures as well as employment-related agency processes.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to client service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
